  • Why do I need to have a consultation call prior to booking a session?
    I believe that it is important to see a therapist that meet each client’s needs and is competent in issues that will be addressed during the course of treatment. The 15-minute consultation call will allow you to ask questions, discuss the therapeutic process, and to make sure that you are comfortable. By the end of the call, we will make the determination if we will move forward with setting up an appointment for individual sessions.
  • What should I expect the first time I come to therapy?
    During the intake session, we will spend time talking about the presenting issue, gathering information about family history, and completing forms.
  • How long are therapy sessions?
    Typically, intake sessions are 60 minutes and Individual session sessions are 45 minutes.
  • What insurance do you accept?
    Currently, H.E.R Heart Counseling Center is an out-of-network provider. At the end of session, clients may request a statement, also known as a super bill, which can me provided to their insurance for reimburse.
  • What are the rates for each session?
    The rate for individual session is $150.
  • What form of payment do you accept?
    Payment is accepted in the form of cash and credit card. All payment is due in full at the end of each session.
  • Will I be charged if I have to cancel a scheduled session?
    Please understand that a scheduled appointment is set side time for you. In order to continue providing adequate care, appointments must be cancelled with 24 hours’ notice to avoid cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is $50. *If you do not call to cancel, your card will be charged for the full amount of session.
  • Where are you located?
    H.E.R Heart Counseling Center is based in Middlesex County. Due to the Covid-19, services are being provided via a secured telehealth platform. Telehealth can only be provided to residents of New Jersey.
  • Do you speak another language?
    Linda is fluent in English and Haitian Creole. Sessions and immigration evaluations can be done in Creole when requested by the client.
